CHANEL's 7 to 9 with Aida Muluneh

Gallery artist Aïda Muluneh will participate in the 10th edition of Le 7 à 9 de CHANEL,
presented by CHANEL and the Jeu de Paume at the Jeu de Paume in Paris, France, on
Monday, July 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Admission is free with registration through the Jeu
de Paume website.

Bringing together internationally recognized artists and students, the series examines
how beauty is represented in contemporary visual culture. During the conversation,
Muluneh will reflect on the historical representation of African women in photography
and explore how institutions and global brands can foster more authentic narratives
around diversity, identity, and feminine representation.

Born in Ethiopia, Muluneh is a photographer, artist, and cultural entrepreneur whose
practice examines gender, identity, and the legacies of colonialism through a richly
symbolic visual language. Renowned for her vivid color palettes and meticulously
staged compositions, her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the
Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art, the Peabody
Essex Museum, and the Nasher Museum of Art. She is also the founder of Addis Foto
Fest, the first international photography festival in Ethiopia
