Jenkins Johnson Projects, New York is pleased to present New York-based artist and filmmalker Ajamu Kojo’s Black Wall Street: A Case for Reparations. Kojo’s ongoing series Black Wall Street: A Case for Reparations takes the story of the 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma Massacre and the havoc it wrought on the Black community in the Greenwood District, known as Black Wall Street, as its centerpiece. Kojo presents a spiritually uplifting dedication to the people who called Greenwood their home over a century ago.
