Mary Lovelace O'Neal is an American artist and arts educator. Her work  focuses on abstracted mixed-media  and minimalism.  O'Neal's art has been exhibited widely throughout North America and internationally, with group and solo shows in Italy, France, and many other countries. Since the late 1960s, Mary Lovelace O’Neal has been known for her paintings that pair bold, monumental scale with layers of unexpected materials to explore deeply personal narratives around  themes of racism, social justice and contemporary critical issues. Her style has moved between pure abstraction and narrative figuration.
