                                                    Flash’s Cross-Colour Series, utilizing a unique technique for developing the images on negative paper, challenges the traditional narratives of identity, the politics of skin pigmentation, and gender representation. Working with a 4×5 large format camera, Flash's twentieth-century portraiture style centers those frequently marginalized, engaging those who are frequently rendered invisible.
