Right is Right: Jenkins Johnson Gallery
Current exhibition
Overview
Jenkins Johnson Gallery is pleased to present Right is Right, featuring the works of five contemporary Black artists: Lisa Corinne Davis, Violet Fields, Jae Jarrell, Nnenna Okore, and Ming Smith. Each of these women artists explore their experiences within the African Diaspora and its influence on their understandings of identity, community, and place. Concerned with both the tangible and intangible matter that women carry, this exhibition places women of African descent at the forefront. It pays homage to their skill, intelligence, and innovation in redefining the processes of self-identification and community within social and cultural contexts.
